Believed to have its origins in the Malinois of Belgium, the Belgian Malinois is a short-haired variety of the Belgian Shepherd Dog. Like its companion breeds, it is a natural guard dog. Although its behavior can be unpredictable, with responsible training the Belgian Malinois becomes well socialized and makes a loyal companion.
